Fighting Doubt, Finding Fire

Have you ever had a moment when doubt simply didn’t have permission to exist? A time when life pushed you so squarely into the zone of belief that hesitation and fear were forced into the background? Maybe you were chasing a dream, fighting for a breakthrough, or facing a challenge so intense that your only option was forward.

In moments like these, distraction fades to a low hum. Clarity sharpens. Your mind pulls all its conscious energy into “This will happen. It must happen. God will help me either figure it out or lead me to someone who can.”

Some call it being "in the zone." Others call it a defining moment. It’s a sacred space where time seems to stand still—or at least slow—and faith surges. Instead of feeling stuck, you find yourself thinking, “Next idea...ok, next idea...” and moving without paralyzing self-doubt. Prayer fuels you. Action guides you. There’s a persistent spirit of whatever it takes.

When have you experienced this? What did it feel like? More importantly—what would your life look like if you could access that mindset more often?
That creativity.
That hunger.
That persistence.
That joyful expectation that with God, this is definitely possible.

But here’s the reality:
That spirit can be stolen.

Disappointments, delays, criticism, comparison, fatigue, and spiritual disconnection can all slowly erode our edge. Instead of praying and trying again, we can find ourselves retreating, questioning, or numbing. We forget the times when God showed up big. We forget that the Spirit inside us is still willing to lead us forward.

When it’s been a while since you've lived with that fire, it can feel intimidating to try again. But here’s the good news: It's never lost forever.
You can get it back.
You can ask God to reignite the fire.
You can take the next brave step, no matter how small, and find momentum again.

The Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to “fan into flame the gift of God” (2 Timothy 1:6). The flame might flicker, but it never fully goes out when God is involved.
