Refuse to Go Numb

What pulls at your heartstrings? Pause and really consider it. Who do you feel drawn to serve, uplift, or encourage?

Deep within, there’s a divine impulse—an inner stirring that says, “This is where you’re needed. This is where you come alive.”

This calling isn’t about chasing praise or admiration. That path may feel good for a moment, but it leads to shallow waters and empty applause.

No, the higher road is not about getting others to worship you. It’s about communicating your heart for them. Speaking life into others is a sacred act. Encouragement isn’t soft—it’s powerful. It breathes oxygen into tired souls.

I heard a speaker once say, "The worst thing isn’t speaking bad into someone—it’s when they’re simply ignored."

People often act out, not out of rebellion, but desperation. Because being noticed for the wrong thing feels better than being invisible.

Let that convict and inspire. Your presence matters. Your voice matters. The people you're called to serve are not waiting for you to be perfect—they're waiting for you to show up.

And while you’re at it—visualize your next level. Picture what it looks like to feel fully alive again. To move with purpose. To get your edge back. To do more of what brings meaning, not just money or noise.

Avoidance is a slow killer. In John 18:11, Jesus told Peter, “Put your sword back into its sheath. Shall I not drink from the cup of suffering the Father has given me?”

Jesus had just wrestled all night in prayer, on His face. Peter had fallen asleep. Jesus rose surrendered. Peter rose swinging.

That’s the difference between someone who leans into their calling and someone who reacts out of confusion.

We lose our way not through failure, but by drifting into numbness.

Quiet quitting. Withdrawing. Holding back. Shrinking.

Refuse to go numb ~ 
Instead, here are three ways to bring hope back into focus:

1. Do one brave thing this week.
   Call someone. Start the project. Set the meeting. Don’t wait to feel ready—move with “ready enough.”

2. Speak life into one person today.
   Encouragement costs nothing but could change everything. Be the person who sees others.

3. Schedule what matters.
   Literally. Put it in your calendar. What brings you meaning should have a seat in your day—not just your dreams.

You were made for more. Say yes to it. Say no to numbness.

Because with God, Anything is Possible.
