Small Ears ~ Use Rocket!
Hello Everyone & Welcome to 'Activating Your Gifts' part 2!
THE WORLD STILL NEEDS WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE!
Unlike Dumbo, this elephant's gift was not big ears which he could use to fly through the friendly skies.
But, he sure was a good rocket scientist!
Ok - being a bit silly...
However, I like the picture because it reminds me of the God given potential that lies deep inside of each one of us.
Also reminds me of what's possible if we keep believing and keep going after our dreams regardless of how crazy they may seem!
The other option:
Spending a HUGE percentage of our lives thinking of all the 'Natural Gifts' that we don't have & as a result, overlooking the beautiful ones we do.
When we get stuck in that rut, WE MISS OUT & so does the rest of the world...
That's why we must remember this TRUTH stated in Ephesians 2:10,
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
YES, this is talking about YOU...
YOU are God's handiwork!
YOU were created special & specifically to do good works!
God, knowing YOU and YOUR gifts, has prepared everything in advance for you to do!
DOUBLE the clicks?!?!?!?!?
Quite interesting...
Last week's BLOG subject line was,
"ACTIVATE Your Gifts."
The next line read,
"The world needs more of what you bring to the table."
Last weeks BLOG was opened twice as much as any other BLOG that I have every written.
We recently moved to a new platform, so I figured surely there was a glitch in the system.
How could it be so consistent and then double in one week?
Consider this quote:
"If I were to wish for anything, I should NOT wish for wealth and power, but for the passionate sense of the potential, for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never."

My best guess and conclusion:
We are ALL interested in contributing, bringing more of ourselves to the table, serving, giving, making a difference and living a fully activated life!
Earlier in this chapter of Ephesians 1, verses 1-3 it states:
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.
Wow, what a TOTALLY different picture than the one we have been discussing.
Instead of life inside & good works, there was death inside - following the ways of this world... the focus was on oneself and spending the day filling up on what was "wanted" verses using our gifts to give what was needed.
That's what drew the extra clicks ~ people are searching!
My deduction is that God's people are looking to SOAR ~ like the elephant above ~ they are just working to find THEIR rocket!
Jesus said in Mt 18:3:
“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
You are NEVER too old to SOAR!
Bring all that you have - All your potential & allow God to direct you to it's best use!
